Emend Healthcare is hiring a mid-level IT Systems Engineer II to share responsibility for administering and supporting infrastructure across geographically distributed healthcare locations in a hybrid/remote Los Angeles-area role. The position covers Windows, Linux, VMware, cloud platforms, networking, endpoints, backups and disaster recovery, clinical and business applications, HIPAA-aligned security, documentation, vendors, projects, and rotational on-call support. Candidates need at least three years of hands-on systems administration or IT support experience, strong Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, VMware, PowerShell, networking, backup, and cloud skills; a bachelor's degree is preferred but equivalent experience and certifications are accepted.
