Description
The Roadway Sign Installer / Sign Erector installs, configures, tests, and maintains traffic signal controllers, detectors, communication devices, and related infrastructure. The role interprets electrical and construction plans, troubleshoots signal systems, coordinates with engineers and project managers, documents work, and follows safety and regulatory standards. A high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, relevant electrical or signal installation experience, and the ability to read technical drawings are required; traffic signal or ITS certification, bucket-truck experience, crane certification, NEC and MUTCD familiarity, testing equipment operation, and public-infrastructure experience are preferred.
