Description
The IV Technician administers intravenous vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients; runs fluid therapy; monitors client responses; assesses physical and mental status; manages infection prevention; identifies contraindications; documents therapy interactions; and performs other assigned duties. The role requires RN, EMT, Paramedic, ADN, or LPN credentialing, two years of vascular access or infusion experience, strong venous access and catheter-placement skills, and knowledge of medical records, anatomy, terminology, and practice functions. It involves eight- to ten-hour Monday-through-Friday shifts with occasional weekends in a climate-controlled clinic environment.
