Description
The Jail Based Peer Support Specialist provides peer-led recovery support to clients transitioning from jail or prison, including probation and parole, while coordinating with criminal justice and healthcare partners. The role helps clients set recovery goals, develop coping and self-management strategies, access community resources, complete paperwork, and maintain engagement between treatment visits. It requires a high school diploma or GED, Clinica Peer Support Training or an approved equivalent, lived experience with mental illness, and a current Colorado driver’s license with a safe driving record; the position may require travel within Boulder and Broomfield counties and attendance at criminal justice settings.
