R+V is hiring a Java Backend Developer to steer operational data solutions, implement Java-based microservices, and develop applications for master and transactional data using Spring Boot, Java, Postgres, DB2, and Kafka. The role includes cloud deployment on Azure, CI/CD with GitLab, technical concepting, business requirements support, testing, incident resolution, and DevSecOps lifecycle management. A natural sciences, computer science, business administration, or comparable degree is required, along with backend development experience in the listed technologies; knowledge of Azure, Infrastructure as Code, test automation, and insurance-sector understanding is advantageous. The position offers a hybrid home-office and office model, a 38-hour week, and 14 monthly salaries or participation in a variable compensation system.
