The NYC Financial Information Services Agency – Office of Payroll Administration is hiring a Java Developer to support production and development of the citywide automated timekeeping system, CITYTIME. The role involves designing and maintaining Java EE applications, collaborating with business analysts and architects, writing and testing code, optimizing performance and scalability, troubleshooting production issues, and documenting technical designs. Required qualifications include strong Java proficiency, experience with MVC frameworks, ORM technologies, web services, API development, relational databases, SQL, Agile methodologies, version control, and build tools; experience with Fair Isaac's Blaze Advisor rule engine is preferred. The position is based at 5 Manhattan West, New York, New York, and offers 35 hours weekly.
