Description

The Java Engineer on Calypso Platform will design, develop, customise and support the Calypso trading and clearing platform. The role covers enterprise Java application development, REST APIs, microservices, event-driven integrations, incident investigation, release management, CI/CD, performance optimisation, and collaboration with QA, DevOps, business and operations teams. It requires 6–8+ years of enterprise Java development experience and expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, distributed systems, databases, messaging, containerisation, Unix/Linux, and Agile delivery.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 6–8+ years of hands-on Java development experience in enterprise environments
Experience building and supporting distributed systems, RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
Experience with relational databases and advanced SQL development
Experience with messaging and event-driven architectures
Experience with containerisation and orchestration technologies
Experience working in Unix/Linux environments and scripting
Experience delivering solutions within Agile/Scrum environments
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in capital markets, trading, clearing, risk or post-trade platforms
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS
