MariaDB is hiring a Java Senior Software Engineer to lead the development and testing of a scalable, geo-distributed, high-performance database solution. The role involves designing and shipping features, troubleshooting distributed systems, optimizing performance, developing data structures and storage algorithms, implementing high-availability and consistency mechanisms, and managing software engineers. Candidates need at least four years of Java experience, strong concurrency and Java SE knowledge, SQL database experience, and distributed-systems expertise. The position is remote from multiple European and other listed countries, with remote or hybrid work options depending on location, and does not offer visa sponsorship.
