Interactive Brokers Group is hiring a hybrid Java Software Engineer to design and develop applications and services that support its global electronic brokerage business. The role involves building systems for new markets, optimizing and refactoring existing code, and maintaining engineering documentation. Candidates need a computer science or related bachelor's or master's degree, at least 5 years of professional programming experience including 3 years of Java, scripting experience such as Python or Perl, Oracle relational database experience, and strong analytical and communication skills. Prior finance experience is preferred.
