Description

Mercury Teknoloji A.Ş. is hiring a mid-level, full-time Java Software Engineer (Backend) to develop and maintain the backend of a new shipping platform for life sciences and healthcare companies. The role involves designing APIs, microservices, observability tools, build pipelines, and deployment scripts; collaborating with Product, QA, DevOps, and Engineering teams; and contributing to scalable, secure, and maintainable software. The position is remote during working hours in Turkey and offers private health insurance, paid holidays, and birthday time off.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in a software-focused engineering field, such as Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or Computer Science and Engineering.
Required Previous Experiences: 4-7 years of backend development experience with Java, including at least 3 years using Java version 9 or higher.
At least 2 years of recent experience with Spring Boot or Spring.
Experience with unit testing and test-driven development.
Experience in code review as both a reviewer and developer.
Proven experience with microservices architecture.
Experience building large-scale backends with supporting developer portals or marketplaces.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with other databases, data storage technologies, and NoSQL.
Experience and deep understanding of observability tools and systems.
Knowledge of Docker and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Experience with the Quarkus and GraalVM ecosystem.
Experience with Hexagonal Architecture, also known as Ports and Adapters.
