Description
AAAS is hiring a part-time, on-call Journalist Support Correspondent for its SciLine team to monitor and respond to journalist inquiries, coordinate with scientist-facing experts, enter correspondence data into Salesforce, and flag challenging cases. The role reports to the senior scientific outreach manager, may be performed up to 17 hours per week, and is remote for candidates in or willing to relocate to an approved state. Applicants must have journalism or media relations experience or familiarity with journalism norms, strong communication and decision-making skills, attention to detail, and an interest in science. The anticipated initial rate is $30 per hour for a term from November 1, 2026 through May 31, 2028, with no visa sponsorship.
