Description
Powell Canada is hiring a Journeyperson Welder (Structural Steel) for its Electrical Division Edmonton (EDE) location. The role reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor of the Fabrication department and involves fitting weldments, operating CC and CV welding machines, performing complex welds, using plasma cutters and other fabrication tools, maintaining equipment, and supporting quality and safety standards. Candidates must hold a valid Red Seal Journeyperson Welder or Journeyperson Fitter certification, have at least two years of related structural steel fabrication experience, hold FCAW S-classification, and complete CSTS 2020 Fundamentals plus eight additional modules before hire. The position is permanent, requires legal authorization to work in Canada, and involves physically demanding manufacturing work with occasional outside activities.
