Description
Monta is hiring a Jun/Mid Level Backend Engineer to build and maintain backend services for its OCPP and charge-point domain, debug field issues, improve observability and alerting, automate manual work, and participate in on-call support. The role uses Kotlin or Java, PHP/Laravel, OCPP and OCPI protocols, Kafka, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch/Kibana, AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform. Candidates should have 1–4 years of backend engineering experience or a strong junior track record, be comfortable with JVM languages, enjoy debugging, and demonstrate ownership; OCPP, EV charging, IoT, event-driven architectures, monitoring, and infrastructure experience are bonuses. The position offers up to 46,000 DKK gross per month depending on seniority, along with education support, health coverage, paid parental leave, and flexible working hours.
