Smadex is hiring a Junior Data Engineer to join its core engineering team and build robust data pipelines and features for machine learning models in a real-time bidding platform. The role involves implementing data ingestion services, writing testable code, monitoring production systems, participating in code reviews and architectural decisions, and collaborating in an agile environment. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field, 1–2 years of software or data engineering experience, SQL knowledge, and Python or Java knowledge; Scala, cloud, Airflow, big data, and Spark experience are bonuses. The position is based in Barcelona with two work-from-home days per week and flexible hours, and does not provide visa sponsorship.
