Description
The Junior Database Administrator is responsible for the performance, integrity, availability, and security of database systems. The role includes installing, configuring, upgrading, and maintaining database management systems; monitoring and tuning performance; managing backups, recovery, and disaster recovery; troubleshooting database issues; supporting database development and new technologies; and providing documentation and user guidance. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, 1–3 years of hands-on database administration experience, experience with SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or similar platforms, and proficiency in SQL and procedural SQL languages.
