Description
Whitaker Construction is hiring a full-time Junior Estimator to prepare cost, time, material, equipment, and labor estimates for heavy civil, underground utility, and telecommunications construction projects. The role analyzes plans and specifications, performs quantity takeoffs, evaluates construction methods and pricing, coordinates subcontractor and supplier quotes, assesses project risk and profitability, and supports bid preparation and project handoff. Candidates should be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related discipline, with 12–18 months of underground utility or heavy civil estimating experience preferred, and must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
