Description
O’Connell Electric is hiring a Junior Estimator for utility electrical construction to support estimates for substation, transmission, and distribution projects. The role involves reviewing project plans, specifications, and electrical drawings; preparing labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates; obtaining supplier and subcontractor quotes; maintaining estimate records; updating estimates for plan changes; supporting proposals and presentations; identifying project risks; and collaborating with project teams. The position requires attention to detail, teamwork, Bluebeam or similar PDF-editor proficiency, Microsoft Office and Excel skills, and basic construction estimating knowledge, with training provided. Compensation is $24.30–$29.40 per hour.
