Description

The Junior Handler will screen cargo according to TSA rules and regulations after completing a 4-8 week training course and certification. Responsibilities include participating in CCSP training, conducting X-ray, physical searches, and trace detection, operating a trained working dog, maintaining training records, and caring for the canine's living area. The role requires adherence to security clearances, willingness to drive company vehicles during training, and flexibility to work in varying conditions, including nights, weekends, holidays, and travel.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: U.S. Citizenship for a minimum of three years.
Ability to obtain a Known Traveler Number (KTN) within four to six weeks of employment.
Ability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge within four to six weeks of employment.
Ability to obtain a Security Threat Assessment (STA) for Airport Badge within four to six weeks of employment.
Adequate transportation to transport assigned Canine and Crate (inside the vehicle) to/from assigned work location; transportation must have operational climate control.
Ability to pass the applicable Contract Testing and Certifications for the program within four to eight weeks of employment; candidate must maintain the certification requirements.
Valid US Driver's License and Satisfactory Driver Record.
Driver's license compliant with REAL ID standards or possession of a valid U.S. passport in addition to a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications: Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities.
Problem-solving skills with an analytical thought process.
Adaptability to a rapidly changing environment.
