Description
The Junior Handler screens cargo under Transportation Security Administration rules, participates in cargo-search and threat-identification training, performs X-ray, physical-search, and explosive-trace-detection duties, and commands, cares for, and maintains an assigned certified working canine. The role requires maintaining certifications, security clearances, training records, and canine housing standards; operating a company or personal vehicle; working variable schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays; traveling as needed; and performing physically demanding outdoor work in varied weather conditions.
