Wowza Media Systems is hiring a junior/mid software engineer to work inside the core Wowza Streaming Engine codebase, a large performance-critical Java media server with a native C/C++ transcoding layer. The role focuses on building core features, debugging customer issues, reading and understanding a large mature codebase, writing tests, and growing into the video streaming domain while using AI coding tools such as Aider or Claude Code effectively.
