Description
Amentum is hiring a Software Engineer to support Naval projects in Dahlgren, Virginia, developing, integrating, testing, and deploying software for DoD weapons and sensor systems. The role involves C/C++, Java, and/or Python development; requirements, architecture, and testing; modern weapon-system software; Git, Jira, static code analysis, Agile, Scrum, and DevSecOps; and collaboration with industry and government teams. Candidates need 0–10 years of relevant software development or engineering experience, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, familiarity with Agile, strong communication and analytical skills, and an active Secret security clearance. Preferred qualifications include embedded systems, GNC algorithms, simulators, surface combat systems, and shipboard software sustainment. Compensation is $110,000, with health, dental, vision, retirement, paid time off, and other benefits.
