Description
The Juvenile Supervision Officer provides direct supervision of detained or referred youth, maintains case files, enters data, coordinates with human-services professionals, contacts families, advises juveniles of rules, monitors behavior and mental state, processes admissions, and transports juveniles to medical, educational, and other facilities. The role also includes alternative educational program supervision, incident reporting, positive reinforcement, and maintaining program safety and inventory. A high school diploma or GED, Texas residency requirements, a valid driver’s license, and certification by the Texas Juvenile Justice Department are required.
