TuxCare is hiring a fully remote Kernel Developer for the KernelCare Extended Lifecycle Support team. The role focuses on investigating upstream Linux kernel security and bug fixes, backporting patches to older RPM- and Debian-based distributions, building reproducible kernel packages, validating patches through testing and regression analysis, and improving workflows with Python, Go, or Shell. The position also involves responsible use of agentic development tools, technical documentation, and code review.
