TuxCare is seeking a fully remote Kernel Developer for the KernelCare Extended Lifecycle Support team. The role focuses on investigating upstream Linux kernel security and bug fixes, backporting patches to older RPM- and Debian-based distributions, resolving version conflicts, building reproducible kernel packages, validating patches, and improving workflows with Python, Go, or Shell. Candidates need strong C and Linux debugging skills, kernel development or backporting experience, Git and GNU build tools proficiency, automation experience, and familiarity with agentic or AI-assisted development.
