TuxCare is hiring a Kernel Developer for the KernelCare Extended Lifecycle Support team. The role focuses on investigating upstream Linux kernel security and bug fixes, backporting patches to older RPM- and Debian-based distributions, resolving version conflicts, building reproducible kernel packages, validating patches through testing and regression analysis, and improving automation workflows. The position requires strong C and Linux debugging skills, kernel development or backporting experience, Git and GNU build tools, package-building experience, scripting in Python, Go, or Shell, and responsible use of AI-assisted development tools.
