Amazon is hiring kernel/embedded C programmers for its EC2 Nitro Dataplane team to build ultra-high-performance packet-pipeline software for EC2 VPC instances. The role involves implementing optimized data structures, low-level hardware tuning, architecture and design decisions, code review, mentoring, and communication with technical and management teams. Candidates need at least five years of professional software development experience, programming experience, system design or architecture experience, and mentorship or engineering leadership experience; C/C++ or Rust and systems software engineering experience are preferred.
