Description

AWS is hiring an experienced Kernel & Hypervisor Engineer to build and operate the EC2 Nitro Hypervisor, develop new EC2 instance families, and improve virtualization software quality. The role owns the software development lifecycle, drives operational excellence, contributes to the team roadmap, collaborates with hardware, software, and firmware teams, and may use AI tools to solve technical challenges. Basic qualifications include Linux Kernel and C programming experience, proficiency with x86 or ARM, and understanding of operating system internals; extensive Linux Kernel, C, hypervisor, and performance-critical Linux Kernel experience are preferred.
