The Children’s Home of Reading is hiring a full-time Kitchen Staff/Cook in Reading, Pennsylvania, at $16.50 per hour. The role prepares meals for clients and staff, supports special events, cleans food and dining areas, operates dish machines, assists with inventory and NSLP paperwork, and follows food-safety and HACCP procedures. The position requires a high school diploma or G.E.D. (preferred), at least 21 years of age, cooking or food-preparation experience in a restaurant, hospital, or school setting, reliable transportation, flexible scheduling, and successful background, physical, and drug screenings. Shifts are 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with some weekends as needed.
