Description
The Laboratory Technician performs routine diagnostic laboratory functions, including specimen sorting and receiving, instrument maintenance, centrifuging, specimen preparation, reagent and media preparation, QA/QC, list resolution, sample retrieval, decontamination, radioactive wipe testing, recordkeeping, gas-cylinder changes, and biohazard disposal. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with medical assistant training and math or science coursework preferred; no prior experience is required. It is a temporary replacement position scheduled Tuesday through Saturday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM CST at the Quest laboratory on Regent Boulevard.
