Description
The Pre-Analytical Laboratory Technician performs pre-analytical and post-analytical laboratory tasks, including prioritizing and processing patient specimens, drawing blood samples, labeling and aliquoting samples, entering and reviewing test data, communicating with patients and healthcare professionals, maintaining equipment and supplies, and performing quality-control checks. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, six months of medical-training or healthcare-environment experience, and preferably basic medical-terminology knowledge, customer-service experience, and phlebotomy certification.
