Description
The Tech I laboratory processor receives, processes, transports, distributes, and stores specimens; prepares them for diagnostic and prognostic testing; enters and verifies patient and collection data; troubleshoots laboratory systems; and resolves pre-analytic specimen issues. The role may also prepare and ship mail-out kits, handle reagents, assist with inventory, operate automated systems, provide training, and support quality projects. It requires a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of relevant laboratory or clinical experience, and the ability to work independently, accurately, and safely in a fast-paced environment.
