Description
The Laboratory Processing Technician II performs EKGs, collects specimens within the employee’s training scope, prepares and processes specimen types, handles accessioning, centrifuging, aliquoting, and courier packing, and supports patient registration, report distribution, and clerical duties. The role also troubleshoots pre-analytical automation, provides training or orientation, and maintains a professional manner. It is primarily an evening shift with rotating weekends and holidays, and requires a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy or Medical Assistant training, and ACT 169 clearance.
