Description
The Laboratory Support Service Tech (LSST) performs specimen collection, receipt, identification, processing, shipping, storage, and waived point-of-care laboratory testing in clinic and hospital-based laboratories. The role also involves interacting with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare staff, troubleshooting laboratory procedures, using computer information systems, participating in quality control, and assisting with employee and student training. A high school diploma or GED is required, with a two-year degree preferred and phlebotomy-related experience or certification accepted. The position requires physical ability to lift and stand for long periods, strong communication and organizational skills, and flexible scheduling; visa sponsorship is not available.
