Description
The Laboratory Support Services Specialist performs technical and non-technical laboratory duties on a hospital campus, including specimen receipt and processing, phlebotomy, pre-analytics, microbiology, blood-bank component processing, computer-system support, quality assurance, equipment maintenance, customer service, and training new employees. The role may include lead responsibilities in the absence of a supervisor and requires a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and at least three years of specimen-processing experience in an outpatient or hospital laboratory.
