Description
The Laboratory Assistant performs waived and up-to-moderate-complexity testing, specimen processing, laboratory information-system use, equipment operation and troubleshooting, quality control, and instrument maintenance. The role also supports clinical laboratory, histology, cytology, transfusion, and reference laboratory operations, including specimen setup, blood-product handling, and orientation of medical laboratory students and fellows. It is a per-diem, eight-hour day shift in the United States with a $24.00 salary range, requiring a high school diploma, GED, or higher degree and one year of relevant laboratory or hospital experience.
