Description
The Laboratory and Field Technician performs quality assurance and quality control testing at aggregate or asphalt plant laboratories and gathers samples at construction sites. Responsibilities include operating equipment safely, reporting incidents and hazards, maintaining communication, and testing asphalt, aggregate, bituminous mixes, and related properties. The role also supports inventory, sampling schedules, specifications, mix design development, and compliance with ASTM and AASHTO standards. Candidates should have strong interpersonal and safety skills, adaptability, computer and maintenance experience, software proficiency, and the ability to work indoors and outdoors in changing conditions.
