Smurfit Westrock is hiring a full-time Lab Technician - Coord, Environmental Eng at its West Point Mill in Virginia. The role performs wastewater, stormwater, groundwater, raw-material, intermediate-product, finished-product, and waste sampling and analytical testing; operates laboratory instruments; prepares samples and shipping paperwork; inspects tanks and hazardous-waste areas; enters results into databases; and supports environmental compliance, quality assurance, safety, and production reporting. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in chemistry with relevant industrial laboratory experience or an associate degree with two years of industrial laboratory experience, along with analytical testing, instrument, Excel, safety, and driving qualifications. The salary range is $63,000 to $105,000, with health, dental, vision, retirement, paid leave, and other benefits.
