Description
Toast is hiring an engineer to build and scale its labor cost and timekeeping platforms, which process tens of millions of shift events weekly and support millions of restaurant employees. The role owns backend systems across the full development lifecycle, partners with product and design, contributes to engineering standards, and mentors other team members. It requires at least five years of backend experience with object-oriented languages such as Java or Kotlin, production-system experience, and the ability to build scalable solutions. The technology stack includes Java and Kotlin, React, GraphQL, Storybook, Android, PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB. This is a hybrid role requiring in-office collaboration two days per week in the Dublin office.
