The Microbiologist performs microbiological analyses of food, fishmeal, oils, and fats in a laboratory, controls and traces the analysis process, maintains sample integrity, applies quality-control procedures, and records results in the laboratory system. The role requires microbiology or a related degree, professional registration, at least two years of microbiological testing experience, laboratory safety knowledge, ISO 17025 and GLP knowledge, Microsoft Office proficiency, and availability for rotating shifts.
