Description
The Laboratory Assistant provides general assistance to technologists and pathologists to maintain smooth laboratory workflow. Responsibilities include maintaining processors, staining instrumentation, and coverslippers; comparing slides to blocks and requisition forms; restocking supplies; disposing of hazardous waste; and following department protocols. The role reports to the Laboratory Supervisor, requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and prefers a bachelor’s degree in a chemical or biological science.
