Description
The Medical Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist performs patient-facing laboratory work, including venipuncture and collection of blood and other specimens, specimen tracking, test-requisition verification, and resolution of unusual orders. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, computer and Microsoft Office skills, a valid driver’s license, and on-site presence for patient care and HIPAA compliance. It is scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional overtime and physical demands including lifting up to 10 pounds and exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
