Description
Canyon Vista Medical Center is hiring a PRN Laboratory Assistant to perform venipuncture, finger and heel sticks, urine, throat, and nasal specimen collection; process and distribute specimens; complete chain-of-custody collections and breath alcohol testing; enter laboratory orders; verify patient identity; maintain supply inventory; and provide customer service. The role reports to the Director or Manager of the Department and requires critical thinking, rapid software navigation, effective English communication, and the ability to complete a Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire. A high school diploma and phlebotomy certification are preferred.
