Description
The Laboratory Assistant supports the laboratory by obtaining blood samples through venipuncture or capillary methods, screening and processing specimens, delivering blood products and surgical specimens, handling laboratory-result inquiries, and performing clerical and communication duties. The role requires high school or equivalent education, specialized phlebotomy training, one year of phlebotomy experience, Microsoft Office skills, communication and organizational abilities, CPT certification, and fire/life-safety training for Los Angeles City employees. The position pays $23.92-$40.66 per hour.
