Description
The Laboratory Phlebotomist performs daily laboratory and phlebotomy work, including venipuncture, finger and heel sticks, patient identification, specimen labeling, STAT-draw prioritization, specimen transport, equipment cleaning, refrigerator monitoring, and clerical coordination. The role also serves as a receptionist, maintains patient confidentiality, follows safety and regulatory requirements, and supports laboratory workflow. Preferred qualifications include data-entry experience, four years of high school education, one year of full-time experience, National Phlebotomy Association certification, and BLS, ACLS, or PALS certification.
