SGS is hiring a permanent Laboratory Manager in Middlesbrough to lead day-to-day laboratory operations across its Oil, Gas, Chemicals & Environmental services. The role oversees sample processing and reporting, performance, efficiency, profitability, team development, client relationships, compliance with UKAS and HSE requirements, and continuous improvement. Candidates need hands-on analytical laboratory experience with GC-MS, LC-MS, and ICP, experience leading laboratory teams, and knowledge of quality and HSE systems; petrochemical, oil and gas, fuels, or ISO 17025 experience is preferred. The position offers 37.5 hours per week, a company car, medical cover, pension, leave, and other benefits.
