Description
The Inpatient Phlebotomy Technician performs specimen procurement, processing, quality control, order transcription, specimen transport, data entry, patient instructions, and related laboratory duties. The role is PRN on the day shift, may cover any part of a 24-hour period, and requires one weekend day per month. A high school diploma or GED and less than one year of relevant experience are required; ASCP certification, Basic Life Support, medical terminology, and phlebotomy training are preferred.
