Description
The Organic Chemistry Laboratory Prep Technician provides technical and operational support for the Department of Chemistry’s organic chemistry teaching laboratories. Responsibilities include preparing and testing reagents, maintaining laboratory equipment and spaces, managing chemicals and supplies, and supporting safe laboratory instruction. The role works with laboratory coordinators, teaching assistants, students, faculty, Environmental Health and Safety, and vendors, and requires knowledge equivalent to a four-year degree in Medical Technology or Microbiology, related laboratory experience, and familiarity with laboratory safety and chemical hygiene. The position is full-time, union, and based in East Lansing.
