Description
The Laboratory Technician sets up and operates test equipment, conducts routine and specialized wire-and-cable product tests, records technical data, drafts reports, performs calculations, and supports complex testing under senior staff guidance. The role also maintains equipment, samples, and laboratory cleanliness, follows calibration and quality procedures, and coordinates with other departments. Preferred qualifications include a technical certificate or engineering-technology education, wire-and-cable testing experience, knowledge of relevant standards and electrical circuits, laboratory instrumentation skills, report-writing ability, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and LabVIEW.
