Description
The Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research Dresden is hiring a Laboratory Technician to produce and process magnesium-based thermoelectric semiconductor materials from powders, prepare sintered bodies and thermoelectric legs, assemble thermoelectric modules, and characterize the materials and modules using electrical and thermal measurement methods. The role requires completed vocational training or state certification in a relevant laboratory or technical field, experience with metallic or nanocrystalline powders, and knowledge of heat treatment, sintering, chemical modification, mechanical finishing, joining, and measurement technology. The position is initially fixed-term for three years, starting in January 2027, with part-time work possible by arrangement.
