Michigan State University’s Campus Animal Resources department is hiring a temporary Laborer I in East Lansing to perform routine manual labor supporting animal housing and facility upkeep. Duties include disassembling and reassembling cages, changing bedding, washing equipment, filling water bottles, general cleaning, refuse disposal, and attending meetings, training, and record keeping. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and involves exposure to animal allergens as well as frequent lifting and pushing/pulling of heavy racks and carts.
